What you’ll learn
Multiply any two numbers in under a minute based on techniques from Vedic Mathematics
Significantly Improve your accuracy and speed of calculations
Gain confidence in solving math problems
Eliminate errors due to unnecessarily long multiplication methods
Significantly improve your mental calculation abilities
Requirements
It is useful if the student knows tables of numbers till 11. It will help you achieve good results.
If the student knows the tables till 20, then he/she can expect superior results with practice.
Description
This course introduces you to a fundamental multiplication technique described in Vedic Maths, under the Nikhilam Sutra. This technique, referred as the Base Method, is simple and fast. It can be applied to the multiplication of any two numbers, however small or large.
This course is very effective because it lays stress on conceptual clarity of the technique. The complete course is explained in short set of videos covering multiple examples.
Why This Course Should Be Taken
Multiplication is a fundamental mathematical concept. The “Base Method” technique is many times simpler and faster compared to conventional multiplication method taught in schools. Students find this method very easy to learn and apply in their daily lives.
No Memorization, cramming or stress for students. Only practice is needed.
Increased accuracy of problem solving. Since the technique is short and simple, the room for error is low as compared to conventional method. The complexity of the conventional multiplication method increases manifold as the number gets larger. Imagine multiplying 99997 x 99989 in the conventional way. Students will solve this multiplication in a single line with the vedic method method technique.
With Increased accuracy comes increased confidence and comfort. Students tend to hate numbers and maths. This fear will go away once they understand the simple methods.
Improved mental calculations and academic performance.
Structure of This Course
Concepts of the Base Method Of Multiplication
Application of Base Method to 2 Digit Numbers
Application of Base Method to 3 Digit Numbers
Application of Base Method to 4 Digit Numbers
Concepts of “Working Base” to multiply any two numbers
1 Practice Worksheet : This practice worksheet should be taken to crystallize the concepts.
1 Assignment with Solved Examples of Application of the Base Method
This course is a LEVEL 1 course.
There could be certain range of numbers where application of the BASE Method can be difficult (compared to Vedic Math standards 🙂 . There is another Vedic Sutra which further simplifies multiplication. But more on that in the LEVEL 2 Course.
Who this course is for
This is course is for students of grade 6 to grade 12 who want to improve their math skills, speed & accuracy of calculations leading to great scores in their exams and superior confidence. In this course, students will learn simple methods of multiplication of any two numbers. On application of these methods students will significantly speed up their calculations and also eliminate errors caused by conventional, lengthy multiplication methods.
