Develop your visual thinking and concept design skills with Dumpling Concept Design – Issue 10, a focused training program for artists who want to improve their ability to create original, believable, and production-ready designs for games, film, and entertainment projects.
Led by Jinzh “Dumpling”, a concept design specialist whose background includes work as an EA concept design expert and Art Director at FunPlus, with project experience connected to titles and IPs such as Star Wars, Foundation, Warhammer, Infinite Lagrange, and EVE, this course introduces students to a professional approach to design problem-solving.
The class is built around the core logic of concept design: how to analyze references, extract design ideas from real-world objects, build strong silhouettes, develop functional shapes, and turn abstract ideas into clear visual solutions. Students will learn how to move beyond simply “drawing well” and begin thinking like designers—making purposeful choices in structure, proportion, detail, material, and atmosphere.
This course is especially suitable for artists interested in game art, film concept design, sci-fi design, creature design, environment mood, mechanical forms, and visual development. Through practical demonstrations and design-based exercises, learners can strengthen both their imagination and their ability to create artwork that communicates a clear concept.
Whether you are preparing for a professional concept art portfolio or looking to upgrade your design mindset, Dumpling Concept Design – Issue 10 offers a valuable opportunity to study concept design through a more analytical, industry-oriented, and creative workflow.
