Description
- The Cobalt Image Base Pack for Capture One is a professional-grade color calibration system designed for photographers who demand accurate, consistent, and cinematic color from their RAW workflow. Built specifically for Capture One, this package goes far beyond traditional presets by introducing custom ICC profiles engineered to enhance color depth, tonal balance, and cross-camera consistency while preserving the natural integrity of your images.
- Unlike generic LUTs or one-click filters, the Base Pack is developed using advanced camera profiling techniques to create a refined starting point for professional editing. Every profile is carefully optimized for individual camera models, ensuring more reliable color reproduction and smoother tonal transitions across a wide range of lighting conditions. Whether you are shooting portraits, fashion, weddings, editorial work, or commercial campaigns, the result is a cleaner and more controlled color foundation directly inside Capture One.
- The package includes multiple profile variations designed for different creative needs. Cobalt Standard delivers rich, vibrant rendering with beautiful skin tones and enhanced color separation. Cobalt Neutral focuses on natural and balanced reproduction for photographers who prioritize realism and subtle grading flexibility. Cobalt Repro provides an ultra-flat and technically precise profile ideal for advanced color grading, compositing, and high-end retouching workflows.
- One of the standout advantages of the Base Pack is its ability to unify color across multiple camera systems. Photographers working with mixed brands such as Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Leica, or Panasonic can achieve a far more cohesive visual look without spending excessive time correcting color inconsistencies during post-production.
- The profiles are optimized exclusively for RAW files and fully integrated into Capture One’s color engine, allowing smoother highlight rolloff, improved shadow transitions, and more nuanced rendering of reds, yellows, and skin tones. This creates a more cinematic and premium appearance while still maintaining the flexibility required for professional editing.
