Learn IOS network automation with EEM scripting for network security, performance, and configuration, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
Embedded Event Manager (EEM) is a software component of Cisco IOS software. It is comprised of event detectors and actions to automate operational control based on IOS scripts. Implement EEM to minimize network downtime from user configuration errors.
Cisco IOS Embedded Event Manager (EEM) is a software subsystem within Cisco IOS Software. EEM is a powerful scripting tool that enables IOS automation. For example, monitor real-time events, automate tasks, and take action based on conditions detected by SNMP, Syslog, CLI, or interface bandwidth.
Learn how to create, test, and deploy EEM scripts for automation of network security, performance monitoring, and switch configuration. This is a key topic for students on the updated CCNP certification exam.
Learn how to create, test, and deploy EEM scripts for automation and operational control of your network. EEM examples include network security, performance monitoring, and switch configuration.
Learn how to configure SNMPv3 with authentication and encryption for network management traffic. Syslog server is required for EEM operation and system messages. You will also learn how to configure a Cisco router as an NTP master for time synchronization accuracy to support automation and timestamps. Download all EEM scripts from labs along with topology drawing for student practice labs.
