CHAT GPT-3 Intro: Course on Capabilities, Risks & Mitigation

Enhance your skills with Chat GPT and navigate its risks with this course

ChatGPT is a highly advanced language model developed by OpenAI, but it also brings with it certain risks and potential privacy concerns. This course is designed to help you understand and mitigate these risks, so you can use ChatGPT safely and effectively.

In this course, you will learn about:

• Data privacy: We will explore how ChatGPT is trained on large amounts of text data, which may include personal information, and how to ensure that this data is properly anonymized and does not contain any sensitive information.
• Bias and discrimination: We will discuss how ChatGPT may perpetuate biases and stereotypes present in the data it was trained on and how to implement fairness techniques like debiasing algorithms to mitigate any potential biases in the model.
• Impersonation: We will explore the model’s ability to generate text that appears to come from a real person and the potential dangers of impersonation.
• Security: We will go through the potential risk of malicious actors using AI for phishing, impersonation, and other malicious activities and how to implement security measures such as encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect the model from unauthorized access.
• Explainability: We will discuss the difficulty of interpreting and explaining the model’s predictions and decisions, caused by the neural network architecture, and how to develop methods to interpret and explain the model’s predictions, so that errors and biases can be identified and corrected.
• Compliance: We will cover the laws and regulations related to data privacy, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and how to be aware of and comply with them.

Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to apply the concepts and techniques learned through hands-on exercises and real-world examples. With the knowledge and tools gained from this course, you will be able to use ChatGPT with confidence, knowing that you have taken the necessary steps to mitigate risks and protect privacy.
