How the environment, agriculture, nutrition, and freedom interact to achieve healthy food systems and sustainable development.
Laying the Foundation for Abundant Living
Two levers you can use to drive your food system towards better health.
Identify the areas of your personal food system that are most in need of development or repair.
Develop a food system restoration plan you can implement to build a sustainable, self-regenerating system.
Interact with others who are developing healthy food systems.
No prior experience needed.
Interest in better access to healthy, nutritious food.
Interest in sustainable, independent living.
A life of abundance and sustainable living need not be contradictory terms.
When you build abundance from the ground up, when you build your food system first, you leap from sustainable to regenerative living. And the beauty of a regenerative system is that it gives back more than it receives.
The food on your table can do a lot more than taste good, smell good, and restore your energy. Food has powerful effects. We need food over and over again. This makes food is a powerful driver of our entire economy.
Good food can restore bad health. Bad food can damage our physical and mental health so badly that we lose our ability to work or to care for our families. And anyone paying for healthcare knows that sickness is expensive.
Globally, food is often at the center of civil unrest. The way we produce our food can either destroy or restore our environment.
This course is designed to help you gain a deeper understanding of how our choices about food and where we get it from can address big problems, rag from our personal health and prosperity to global issues of food security, economics, climate change, even immigration.
In this class, you will explore interactions between the four cornerstones (environmental, agriculture, nutrition, and freedom) that form the foundation for sustainable, prosperous living.
