Aescripts – Torn Paper v1.0 Win/Mac

• Turn any masked layer into authentic torn paper with full control over every detail. Stop hunting through stock libraries, scanning actual paper like it’s 2003, or tediously using brushes in Photoshop.
• Realistic torn paper effect in seconds
• Turn any masked layer into authentic torn paper with full control over every detail. Stop hunting through stock libraries, scanning actual paper like it’s 2003, or tediously using brushes in Photoshop. Life’s too short for that.
• Torn Paper Edge generates everything procedurally at GPU speeds, and every parameter is animatable. Keyframe a tear growing across the screen by simply manipulating the layer mask.

Why you’ll actually use this

• It’s fast. CUDA on Windows, Metal on Mac. Real-time previews, quick renders. (Intel Macs not currently supported)
• It’s animatable. Stock textures just sit there. This plugin lets you keyframe everything.
• Infinite variations. Need a different look? Change the random seed. New tear patterns, new fiber placement, new grunge.

What’s inside

• Torn edges with separate inner/outer controls for roughness, jaggedness, and notches
• Paper fibers that extend naturally from tears with full length, density, and shadow control
• Fold marks you can position anywhere, complete with cracks and dual-sided shadows
• Dirt, smudges, and dust with independent controls for that “found in grandma’s attic” look
• Works at any resolution without quality loss
• Perfect for
• Documentaries, vintage effects, scrapbook animations, title cards, transitions, historical pieces, music videos, or anything that needs to look like paper that’s been through some stuff.
