GPU-accelerated 3D volumetric fractal noise plugin for After Effects. Create realistic clouds, fog, and atmospheric effects with lights, cameras, and depth map support. New in v2 Introduces support for modern GPUs, additional geometry options, and the Domain Warp feature.
Fractal Noise 3D v2
A GPU-accelerated volumetric noise renderer for Adobe After Effects. Generate immersive 3D fractal noise fields that respond to your composition cameras and lights — creating realistic clouds, atmospheric fog, and god-ray effects directly inside After Effects.
Overview
True 3D Volume Rendering in After Effects
Fractal Noise 3D takes 3D noise far beyond what the standard After Effects effects can offer. Rather than simulating depth on a flat layer, it constructs a genuine 3D noise field in space — one that your AE camera moves through and your lights illuminate from any direction.
The result is volumetric rendering that feels physically grounded: soft light scattering through thick cumulus clouds, hazy atmospheric fog scattered by spotlights, or translucent volumes with light transmission through obstacle layers. All rendered entirely inside After Effects, no round-tripping to an external 3D app required.
